Public Transport

Münster offers an efficient and extensive public transport network, making it easy to reach the natural science campus, located at the Coesfelder Kreuz.

• From Münster Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station): Upon arrival at Münster Hauptbahnhof, you have several options to reach the campus:

  • Bus: Multiple bus lines, including the 1, 2, 5, 11 and 12 connect the main station directly to the Coesfelder Kreuz stop. Buses run frequently, and the journey typically takes around 15 minutes. Detailed schedules and route maps are available on the Stadtwerke Münster website.

  • Bicycle: Münster is famed for its bicycle-friendly infrastructure. You can rent a bike from various rental stations near the Hauptbahnhof and take a 15-minute ride to the campus. Bike paths are well-marked and safe.

  • Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside the train station. The ride to Correnstraße takes about 15 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Local Buses: The Münster bus system is extensive and reliable. Most bus lines have stops near major hotels, making it convenient for participants staying in different parts of the city. Arrival by car

For those driving to Münster, the city is well-connected by major highways.

• From the North (A1): Take the A1 highways southbound and exit at Münster-Nord. Follow the B54 towards Münster and then the signs for Coesfelder Kreuz.

• From the South (A1): Take the A1 highways northbound and exit at Münster-Süd. Follow the B51 towards Münster, then take the Weseler Straße exit and follow signs for Coesfelder Kreuz.

• From the West (A43): Take the A43 highways and merge onto the A1 northbound at the Münster interchange. Exit at Münster-Süd and follow the B51 towards Münster, taking the Weseler Straße exit towards Coesfelder Kreuz.

• Parking: Free parking is available in the parking garage on Domagkstraße (Parkhaus Coesfelder Kreuz, Domagkstraße 61, 48149 Münster, open Mon-Fri (05:30 - 00:00)). There are also public parking spaces in the Mendelstraße area. From there, the institutes can be reached on foot within a few minutes.
